Data Replication - Information Flow
Problem
Our clients main problem was the availability and flow of information between offices. In some situations the sub-offices were located with regions with intermittent or non existent Internet access. The challenge was to develop a solution that would allow all offices receive and transmit information. This required the ability to replicate and merge the data from all offices to a central server.
Solution
The solution we created was a mix of Windows and Internet applications.
- SQL replication managed the merging of data from the various offices.
- Windows applications allowed the sub-offices to view, edit and synchronise the data to and from all offices
- The internet applications enabled head-office to view and edit submitted data as well as push updates to their sub-offices.
Benefits
The solution has enabled the company to expand into regions while still enabling their offices to be interconnected.
